As Parliament is in recess this week, yesterday I held another of my street surgeries, this time in May Bank.
In the past few days I wrote to all residents on Marina Drive and adjacent roads to inform them that I would be coming to the area and to stick my letter in their window if they wanted me to knock on their door.
I enjoy carrying out these street surgeries as it means the people of Newcastle can get direct access to their MP from the comfort of their own home and it means I get to see what is on people's minds on the ground.
There were a range of topics raised with me including environmental issues, roadworks and potholes, hospital and GP waiting times and of course Walley's Quarry.
I am always planning more street surgeries so keep an eye out for a letter if I haven't visited your area. As always you can of course email me (aaron.bell.mp@parliament.uk), call the constituency office on 01782 308102 or drop in to my shop between 10am-2pm weekdays to raise any matter and we will try to help.
Please note that my office will be closed over the long bank holiday weekend. However, if there is something very urgent, I will be keeping an eye on my emails.
