The Environment Agency have posted on their Facebook group that there will be 10-12 new full-depth wells installed in the south-east quadrant of the landfill site this week, which should add to the total capacity for gas capture from the site and reduce levels of emissions in future.
The EA state that during the works, there is a possibility that there will be an odour at times. However, an exhaust ventilation system will be used to minimise the risk of this.
