I had the pleasure of visiting St John Fisher Catholic College last week. I took the opportunity to have a tour around the school, seeing the many improvements to the buildings that have taken place over the summer, funded by the Government's Condition Improvement Fund. I backed the school's bid to the Fund and was really pleased to see the results! The school have also funded the construction of a new sports pitch on the site of a former classroom block.
I also met Beth and Harvey, the current Head Girl and Head Boy at St John Fisher. I heard about all the experiences and opportunities that they have had throughout their time at the school, and I wish them all the best for their UCAS applications and in their exams next summer.
I would like to thank Headteacher, Mr Murray, for inviting me to visit, and I look forward to supporting the school with its further bids to improve the Science and PE blocks.
