On Monday, the House of Commons debated the Lifelong Learning Bill.
The Bill will mean adults can access up to four years of student loan funding to study, allowing them to access higher education and develop their skills at any stage of their lives. These courses could be full-time or part-time, so could fit around careers or be part of a complete change of direction.
In our area we have excellent further and higher education institutions: Newcastle College, Keele University and, just outside the constituency, Staffordshire University. This Bill will mean more people, no matter their background, previous educational history or age, will be able to go to these institutions.
I have put my concluding remarks in the video. However, you can read the whole debate in the link.
