The Government is boosting nature's recovery through its Green Recovery Challenge Fund. This £80 million Fund will help support 2,500 jobs and plant almost a million trees.
From new ‘insect pathways’ to tree planting projects in deprived urban areas, these projects will help build, improve and restore our natural environments for future generations. Included in the 90 projects announced last Wednesday, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust has received funding from this programme for a number of projects which will improve water quality, resilience to climate change and boost biodiversity.
This funding will restore our natural environment for the benefit of both communities and the economy, helping us work towards net zero emissions by 2050 and creating more green jobs along the way.
