I was delighted to welcome Garrett Murray, Headteacher at St John Fisher Catholic College, to a reception for teachers and educators at Number 10 Downing Street.
The event was all about thanking teachers and schools on the ground who have helped us achieve the success we have had in improving standards - I was delighted to welcome Garrett and show him the House of Commons terrace afterwards.
We also bumped into Robbie Moore MP, who was attending with his own nominee, and Garrett was able to have a quick chat with him about the impact Walley's Quarry has had on St John Fisher. The EA are now taking a statement from Mr Murray which they will take into account in their future action.
It was a great evening, and it was lovely to be able to thank Garrett for all his hard work.
