Since being elected as your Member of Parliament, I have been working flat-out to make our area an even better place to live, work and bring up a family.
We can already see progress being made on improving our town through £34.6 million of government funding. The demolition of the old civic buildings on Merrial Street will regenerate the Ryecroft site and transform our town centre. The welcome investment in Knutton and Chesterton will bring a new community centre, and more and better homes. A new circular bus route around Newcastle will make commuting easier and cheaper. And the Conservatives on the local council are delivering new CCTV, complementing the 201 extra police officers the Conservatives in Government have provided to Staffordshire – all helping tackle crime and antisocial behaviour, and improve the safety of us all.
I want your input on what else can be done to improve our town. So, please fill in my survey and together we can look forward to a successful and prosperous future with optimism.
