AID TO UKRAINE

I hope everyone has enjoyed a Happy Mother’s Day!

Thank you to everyone involved in getting the aid that was collected from the Merrial Street collection point loaded and on the way to Ukraine, especially after a last-minute hiccup with a lorry being held up on its way to Newcastle yesterday.

Over 60 volunteers turned up at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the Brampton yesterday to help prepare the boxes of essential aid - thank you to all of them, and to everyone across Newcastle and beyond who has donated.

Thank you to Maria Leligdowicz for the videos and photos, and for all her efforts in co-ordinating this amazing response, including securing a replacement trailer at very short notice!
