Thank you to TMT First, a phone repair centre based on Holditch Road, for showing me around last Friday. The facilities at their centre include offices, a warehouse, operations, training facilities, a service centre and state of the art repair centre.
In the first photo are Jamie, Adam, the found of the company and me. I visited on Christmas Jumper Day, hence our festive attire!
TMT First repair over 8000 phones a month. You can get your phone repaired on their website, or go on-site and the work can be completed while you wait.
At the start of this year, TMT First launched a training academy to bring more than 20 new trainee engineers into the business. The initiative forms part of the company’s own internal academy and they are looking to expand into apprenticeships in electronics. Their plans will eventually see them expand into a larger space at its existing headquarters.
First established in 2006, before the pandemic TMT First had 60 staff and that has impressively grown to around 120 now.
The company have received a number of accolades including 3 awards at the annual Stoke-on-Trent Live Business Awards 2021, recognising their growth and commitment to training.
TMT First are also making an environmental difference worldwide. On top of the very green act of recycling and repairing phones, they also arrange for 8 trees to be planted for every phone repaired.
