I had a great trip up to Milehouse Fish Bar for lunch yesterday. Owner Andy Kyriacou has been working there for 27 years. His two sons help out, but also have other jobs. Other staff have been working at the chippy for many years.
The Milehouse Fish Bar has recently been reopened after five weeks of extensive refurbishment. The premises has been extended at the rear to improve cooking and storage facilities. Andy also showed me the new freezers, walk-in freezers and new fryers, as well as the improved till system and collection window for those with Covid concerns.
I even got a chance to serve a constituent, Heidi, who was happy to see me and even more so with her order. The Fish Bar have lots of loyal customers, who label it the best chippy in North Staffordshire. I can tell why - the food was fantastic!
