Yesterday I visited Langley Alloys, a family-owned metals business just off the A500, where I met with their Chief Executive Chris Halliday (left in photo) and their Chairman Ray Stone (right).
Based on Lowfield Drive, Langley both stocks and machines duplex stainless steel and, more recently, nickel alloys for domestic and export markets. Over half their business is through exports, including to as far afield as New Zealand.
They have been growing the business over the past seven years, with two satellite sites on Grove Road and Canal Street, with plans for further growth as the business rebounds very strongly from the difficulties of Covid.
It is good to see a local business growing and doing so well!
