My team recently helped my constituents, Mr and Mrs Williams, get their son and Ukrainian daughter-in-law to Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Jacob Williams and Alina Kulyk were in Athens on their honeymoon when war broke out and travelled to Poland in order to get Alina a visa to travel to the UK.
I am very glad that everyone in Newcastle has made them feel welcome. This is another example of how good-natured and accommodating the people of Newcastle are.
It is brilliant to see that they are in the UK safe and sound.
The BBC picked up the story.
