It was great to visit St Margaret's in Wolstanton recently and speak with all eight of their classes about their experience in lockdown and how pleased they are to be back at school. There were some great questions from the pupils too.
Prior to the visit I received an email from a parent which I wanted to share here:
"My child's teacher has a class of 30 children and delivers both online and children in her class at the same time. I do have the opportunity to hear a bit when I go to make a drink and I am in absolute awe of how engaging she is with all the children. The children are so so lucky - everyone including the head master, care taker office / kitchen staff have been amazing.
"Please thank them for their tireless work. From the moment you walk up the road Mr Hugill and Mr Proctor greet the children with a huge smile. Despite everything that’s going on in the world this school is a haven for children. The teachers have their own families and personal circumstances but still turn in day in day out to deliver a outstanding education. The values are entrenched in school and the children’s behaviour and attitudes are amazing."
What a superb testimonial - and it was certainly reflected in my visit too. Huge thanks to Mr Hugill and all his staff for their efforts both during lockdown and in getting everyone back into class.
