At the weekend I attended the opening of Better Together - Community Support Group for Stoke on Trent and NuL's new community garden "A-MAIZE-ING GROW" at Our Lady & St Werburgh's Catholic Primary in Clayton. Jo Gideon MP (the charity's Patron) and I were there to cut the ribbon and officially open the gardens.
The Better Together team will be running family growing and gardening sessions every Saturday, as part of the "A-MAIZE-ING GROW" project, which encourages the community to join together, educating people about sustainability, cooking from scratch and saving money.
My family and I also enjoyed attending the school fayre afterwards. Thank you to everyone who worked hard in preparation during the day to make the event such a success.
