The Government's council tax energy rebate of £150 has been paid out by Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council to direct debit bill payers this week. This applies to any property in bands A-D (92% of properties in Newcastle).
This £150 is a straightforward rebate and will not need to be paid back.
This should be arriving in residents' bank accounts from today onwards.
Those that do not pay their bills by direct debit, or who have their council tax covered through benefits, can apply for the rebate here: https://www.newcastle-staffs.gov.uk/EnergyRebate
