I am grateful to the Chief Executive of Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council for writing to the Waste Minister calling for a full review of the regulatory performance of the Environment Agency in regard to Walley's Quarry. Thank you too to Council Leader Simon Tagg for maintaining the focus of the councils' officers.
I will certainly be quoting from this letter in my Adjournment Debate tomorrow evening, which should be shortly after 7pm. I hope to stream the debate via Facebook Live but it can also be watched on BBC Parliament or at https://parliamentlive.tv/Commons.
