I have officially launched my inaugural Christmas Card competition. I am encouraging young people from across Newcastle-under-Lyme to participate in it. I hope to reflect the best of Newcastle-under-Lyme by showing the brilliant creativity of our young people.
The winning entry will be transformed into a card to be given to Government ministers – including the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson – other MPs and members of the community.
The criteria for the design is Newcastle-under-Lyme at Christmas.
Any child of primary school age in the constituency can take part. I have sent out letters to local schools to invite them to help their pupils take part in the competition and I know several are already doing so.
However, if your child would like to submit a design but you do not know if the school is participating in the competition, feel free to send their design to me anyway - either as a scan to aaron.bell.mp@parliament.uk or by post to Aaron Bell MP, House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA.
I would be appreciative if the name and age of the pupils and the school was included on the correspondence. Entries submitted imply that there is agreement that the image can be used and the child’s family has given permission.
